Gareth Bale 'out for two to three weeks' with calf injury

Wales forward Gareth Bale is set to be out "for two to three weeks" with a calf injury, according to Real Madrid manager Rafael Benitez.
Bale, 26, limped out of Real's 4-0 Champions League wi over Shakhtar Donetsk in midweek.
But Benitez expects the former Spurs player to be fit for his country's Euro 2016 qualifiers against Bosnia-Herzegovina and Andorra next month.
"It is a small injury and it appears he recovers quickly," said Benitez.
Bale has scored six of Wales' nine goals in Euro 2016 qualifying.
Benitez believes he should be available for their two fixtures in October, which they enter needing a point to qualify for their first major tournament since the 1958 World Cup.
"We are optimistic," he said.
"If the player is fit to go with the national team there is little you can do apart from the normal conversations with the national team managers.
"The most important thing is that Gareth recovers as quickly as possible.

PFA concerned by Fifpro legal action over Fifa transfer rules

The Professional Footballers' Association says it is concerned by the legal action taken by world players' union Fifpro.
Fifpro has lodged a complaint  against the transfer rules of world governing body Fifa with the European Commission.
The PFA said it supports the intention behind the action "in general terms".
But it said it has "reservations that litigation taken outside of football can lead to entrenched positions and delay in change and improvement".
PFA statement  read: "It [litigation] can also sometimes have unintended consequences, which may not be foreseeable at this point."
Fifpro believes the current global transfer system breaches basic European Union competition law.
The world players' union, which represents over 65,000 players in 65 countries, has been in talks for several years with Fifa, European governing body Uefa and Europe's leading clubs and leagues about reforming the system.
But that process broke down acrimoniously in January.
Fifpro wants four key changes made to the rules:
  • Any player not paid by their club for more than 30 days can terminate their contract providing they have given the club at least 10 days' written notice
  • If a contract is terminated by the club without just cause or by the player for non-payment, the player should be compensated by having the contract paid out by the club
  • Any player without a contract after the process above should be able to find work immediately, without having to wait for a transfer window to open
  • These reforms should apply domestically and internationally
PFA chief executive Gordon Taylor is honorary president of Fifpro and deputy Bobby Barnes is president of Fifpro Europe.
Their statement said that, while players in the UK had a "secure and positive environment", that was not the case everywhere.
The statement read: "Clearly there are areas of the Fifa regulations that need looking at and improving for the benefit of all.
"We support the intention but the PFA has always held the view that negotiation and collective bargaining with our fellow stakeholders is the way forward and we feel that the stability and influence of the PFA demonstrates that this should be the preferred method of achieving results.

2018 World Cup: Racism 'does not exist' in Russia - Alexei Smertin

Racism "does not exist" in 2018 World Cup host nation Russia, says former national captain Alexei Smertin.
Earlier this year, football anti-discrimination group Fare documented over 100 incidents of racist and discriminatory behaviour linked to Russian football over two seasons.
"There's no racism in Russia, because it does not exist," Smertin told the BBC's World Football programme.
On Friday, Russia marks 1,000 days until the start of the World Cup.
Smertin, an ambassador for his country's successful World Cup bid, claims that fans abuse players because of who they play for - not their skin colour.
"It is something against the opposition, not against a person," said the former Chelsea and Portsmouth midfielder.
On Friday, Russia marked 1,000 days to the World Cup

Capped 55 times by Russia, Smertin said he did not think such incidents would arise should the 2018 hosts face a side featuring black players at the next World Cup.
He claimed that racism was a recent import from overseas despite simultaneously explaining that incidents had happened in the past.
Smertin went on to dismiss behaviour that many might consider racist as "fun".
"Racism in Russia is like fashion. It comes from abroad, from different countries," he said.
"It was never, ever here before. Ten years ago, some fans may have given a banana to black guys - it was just for fun.
"I think the media is making the wrong image of Russia."
Former Cameroon international Andre Bikey, who played in Russia from 2005 to 2006, took umbrage at Smertin's comments.
"He says there is no racism in Russia. Racism is everywhere," said the former Lokomotiv Moscow defender.
"It happened to me, it happened to my team-mates - we have to fight against it, especially with the World Cup going there in three years' time."
Bikey carried a gun for his personal safety while in Russia, following an incident when he was physically attacked by "six or seven"  people on the streets of Moscow.
"It's not something I really like to talk about, and the last time a journalist called me to talk about it, I didn't," he told BBC Sport.
"Speaking about it is not good for me, and not good for Russia.
"At my club and with my team-mates, everything was OK but when you went to play another team, in a city where they've never seen a black player, it was a little bit difficult."
Brazil international Hulk, who plays for Zenit St Petersburg, has said racism happens at "almost every game" in the Russian league and that it presents a genuine threat to the 2018 World Cup.
"We quite naturally acknowledge the problem that clearly does not exist only in Russia, but many other countries," said 2018 World Cup chief executive officer Alexei Sorokin in response.
In the first game of the Russian season, Ghanaian midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong earned a red card after reacting to what he said was racial abuse.
The incident, one of several to affect the Russian game in recent years, is being investigated by Fifa
